(August 10, 2022) – Bos Concrete, LLC has expanded its footprint with the acquisition of Plainwell Redi Mix in Plainwell, MI. The addition will allow the business to easily deliver concrete to all southwest Michigan, primarily east to Kalamazoo County and north to Allegan County
In addition to expanding the service area, Bos Concrete is pleased to bring a business on board that holds many of the same values they do. “We started Bos Concrete with our dad in 2000,” said Mark Bos, who owns Bos Concrete with his brother, Mike. “We are happy to bring another family business into the fold. The Cosgrove family has built a great reputation in Plainwell and the surrounding area.”
Plainwell Redi Mix began in 1960 when Royce and Marion Cosgrove specialized in concrete burial vaults. In 1980 their son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Julie Cosgrove, partnered with them to create Plainwell Redi Mix. Over the years, the business expanded to Paw Paw and Pullman. In 1998, the company was sold to Ozinga and closed shortly after. In 2009, Plainwell Redi Mix was re-established by Jeff and Julie Cosgrove and has been a small family business ever since.
Bos Concrete’s services include ready-mix concrete delivery, concrete pumping, and construction services. They are excited to bring their concrete pumping services to the Plainwell market, expanding the offers of Plainwell Redi Mix.
For the Plainwell customers the transition will be seamless as Bos Concrete will continue to use the blue and silver fleet and Plainwell’s professional drivers and staff.
